about

Originally released by The Level Of Vulnerability in 2016. Digital re-release with two bonus tracks.

Geophony, from the Greek prefix, geo, meaning earth-related, and phon, meaning sound, is one of three components of the soundscape that relates to the naturally occurring non-biological audio signal sources coming from different types of habitats, whether marine or terrestrial. Typically, these refer to wild, relatively undisturbed habitats. But geophony is not limited to that narrow definition since these audio sources can be experienced nearly everywhere the effects of wind and water are expressed. (Wikipedia)

about

Mind over MIDI Kristiansund, Norway

In memory of Helge Tømmervåg (1961-2023)
Ambient music for daydreamers and nighthinkers, inspired by nature.

If you can picture the very furthest, coldest, darkest part of Norway, that's where Mind over MIDI resided. If you want to get an idea of what it's like there, and can do without the frostbite, then this is the perfect solution.

Produce sweeping, icy synthscapes, with digital snowflakes.
